Chromatic Iron is an ore that can spawn in plentiful veins below Y: -32.
It can be exposed to air, so cave mining is the best way to get your first ore.
When mined, it yields Raw Chromatic Iron. The amount of Raw Chromatic Iron dropped per ore can be increased with fortune.

Raw Chromatic Iron can be smelted into Chromatic Iron Ingots.

Only some has to be found in the overworld, as it can also be found within Vaults with cave theme.
