QoL

Quality of Life is a Research category that contains several small mods. Researches in this category do not have a scaling cost.

Waystones

Waystones unlocks a series of blocks and items that allow the player to teleport outside of Vaults. Warp Stones allow the player to teleport to any placed waystone they have access to, and Warp Plates teleport any entity above them to its paired plate, including players without the research unlocked.

Waystones costs 1 knowledge point to unlock.

Torchmaster

Torchmaster unlocks a set of torches that disable hostile or passive mobs in an area. The Feral Flame lantern places invisible lights in a radius of 16 blocks, the Dread Lamp blocks passive mob spawning, and the Mega Torch blocks hostile mob spawning within a 64 block radius cube.

Torchmaster costs 2 knowledge points to unlock.

Trashcans

Trashcans unlocks a set of trashcans that can void items, fluids, and energy. Of note, Mekanism gases count as fluids for purposes of voiding, but nuclear waste can not be voided.

Trashcans costs 1 knowledge point to unlock.

Elevators

Elevators unlocks a series of blocks that allow instantaneous vertical travel of up to 384 blocks. The elevators can be camouflaged by right clicking them with a full block.

Elevators costs 1 knowledge point to unlock.

Vault Compass

Vault Compass unlocks a compass that points back towards the portal room inside Vaults. If you hold sneak-right click on a block in the Vault, the compass will now point to that block for the rest of the Vault. The compass will not work unless the player has the research unlock.
